DBS HOSTEL AND SCHOOL:

Most villages of Dolpo have primary schools run by the government of Nepal. In these schools native language (Tibetan) is not teaching. Therefore students do not have a chances to learn their native language, and it is on the verge of extinction in Dolpo.

Therefore, DBS has built a hostel Where children from different villages of Dolpo can learn their native language, religious studies, and traditional arts. Such education will help them to choose their way either as a monk for further philosophical and religious study or as a lay person in modern colleges in big cities.
DBS has already admitted twenty-five students so far and while admitting children in the hostel, priority is given to orphan and children from poor family background. We have planned to increase the strength of children by ten percent every year. These days we are running teaching classes for student under the tent.

About Sponsorship:

Dolpo is one of the most remote and unspoiled area of the country. There are still lack basic modern facilities such as health satiation, education and almost no infrastructure development. As a result majority of residents are economically poor. Since we felt, education is basic needs and a source of happiness. We took up challenge to give free education orphan and destitute children of Dolpo. new constructed hostel

How can you help us:

You can help us by contributing certain amount of money for the school administrative expenses or sponsoring a particular child of DBS. You can also make general donation to DBS. We therefore, would like to request you to kindly help us to solve the pressing problems of DBS. We assure you that your kind contribution would be solely for the purpose for which you donated.

Sponsorship of a child covers year-round care and education of an individual child. In most cases, the support is for poor orphaned or semi-orphaned children who have no family home or support.

Sponsorship will receive regular report cards from the school related to the child as well as a report from DBS on the child they have sponsored. It is extremely gratifying to see the changes and improvements that take place when the donor through DBS helps a child. Sponsoring a child is powerful help. Your ongoing sponsorship gives child an education, which gives them a chance to build a bright future for both himself and other also.
